Visiting from Virginia and found this little gem. We got the seafood platter. Every single bite was delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy yet tender. The hush puppies were tasty and moist. My only regret is that we have to go back to Virginia and Betty Lou can't come with us.

Highly recommended....limited seating....so fresh and bright menu that is endless. At supper many guests are turned away for searing is limited. Lunch ...little easier... Blackboard filled with wonderful fare....you feel comfortable the minute you open the door. Good parking, easy find, inspired chef A keeper

Great food, great drinks, great service! Only downside is the limited seating. We had a family dinner here, so we had to make reservations. The menu seems a little limited at first glance, but once you begin perusing, you'll likely struggle to pick one thing to order! I had the Chai Mule and Shrimp & Grits. SO good!! My hubby had the Brussel Sprout Cesar Salad and my daughter had the cheeseburger. All were fantastic!! Our server Holly actually remembered the beer she had served my Father-in-law on his last visit. How's that for service?! The ambiance is similar to that of your favorite coffee shop...but with awesome food and a full bar! Just comfortable! Highly recommend!

We just went for a quick lunch date and, wow! We will definitely be back! Atmosphere was quaint and food was absolutely delectable! It's perfect for locals wanting all the deliciousness of Charleston's culinary scene without having to go downtown. Betty Lou's Bistro will become one of our go to spots from here on out and we will absolutely be bringing out of town family here for a great experience!

Had been hearing good things about this place, so was excited to try it. The wait staff was wonderful and friendly. Our waitress was Oliviaa. While her name obviously doesn't respect the universal vowel to consonant ratio, she was very nice and answered all of our questions. Her personality made our experience more enjoyable. When the food came, we were both surprised with the portion size. It was a lot of food at an extremely reasonable price. Perfectly cooked. I got fried shrimp, which is easy to get in Charleston, but you will be hard pressed to find it better. I only regret I didn't have room for desert. Maybe next time... There will definitely be a next time.
